Dr. Emily Saffer is a Paediatric Anaesthetist at King’s College Hospital, London. King’s is a major trauma centre in London but also provides specialist care to young children with hepatobiliary disease, neonates with common congenital surgical pathology and children requiring neurosurgery. Her research interest is in using ultrasound to predict gastric residual volume, and how it might be used to help us to minimise fasting times in children under 2 years of age.
